Loose-lead walking

Loose-lead walking lessons help you practise comfortable movement together, without jerks, force or equipment designed to hurt.

A walk you can share

What we work on.

For dogs who pull towards the next smell, or people who want a clearer walking routine.

  • Rewarding a comfortable lead
  • Changing direction and pausing
  • Sniff breaks and real-world distractions

We choose a quiet starting place and work in short sections, with sniffing and breaks built in. Equipment is checked for comfort. Your homework names a small achievable practice task, rather than expecting a perfect whole walk.

What equipment should I bring?

A comfortable harness, ordinary lead and small rewards your dog enjoys. We discuss any individual safety needs before meeting. No prong, choke or electronic collars.

How long does it take?

It varies with your dog, environment and practice. We agree a useful first goal and review it, rather than set a guaranteed finish date.
