Coming back is worth it
What we work on.
For dogs who return in the kitchen but find the park much more interesting.
- A clear recall cue
- Reward placement and release cues
- Safe long-line practice and gradual distractions
We establish an easy starting point and change one thing at a time: duration, distance or distraction. A harness and long line keep practice safe. Progress depends on the individual dog and setting.

Questions, before you start
About recall.
Will my dog be off lead?
Only where it is safe, lawful and appropriate. A long line is often part of the plan. Reliable off-lead recall cannot be promised.
What if my dog ignores the cue?
Make the next repetition easier. We review the surroundings, reward and distance instead of repeating the cue or punishing the dog.
